2/ ...but, yes, the snow blower is PARTICULARLY prone to it. It's working pretty close to mechanical limits all the time (if you're backing up at 1 ft/s in 18" snow w a 5' wide blower, you're accelerating 7.5 ft^3 to ~15 ft/s, which is a HUGE amount of energy). FURTHER...

3/ it's been a while since I've taken off the brush hog blades to sharpen, but I'm guessing they weigh ~20 lbs each, and specs say blade tip speed is 250 ft/s (!!!!), so the momentum is INSANE and can help power through momentary clogs. ZERO momentum in snow blower.
