I agree with the shoplifting. Theft of services I think is more complicated. Roads are subsidized. Not paying your EZ pass is treated as an admin offense. Why not subway as well? Totally agree on the overcharging. It I think that compassionate liberalism would result in drastically lower quality of life, and second order effects (stores leaving urban areas) would be bad. Re EZ pass: answer is license plates. Trivial to get paid later.
