The alternative is to understand that freedom is not & cannot be absolute. Its value is wholly contingent on the intrinsic worth of the goods you can get w/ it. Only the good is absolute. If Liberalism attains it, OK. If it takes a monarchy, so be it.

My ongoing offer is to agree that we ban guns... for registered Democrats. Boom, you disarm a huge section of the populace! And since the Dems don't believe they have a right to own guns they really can't complain about 'losing' it. Then enforce it good and hard on them.

Would this be Unconstitutional? 99% likely yes. But again, its not like the Dems were *really* honoring the Constitution so I say let them sign the right away and live with the consequences.
