3/4 of the Christian Bible is the Tanakh, and our prophet was Jewish. But, sure, there's no such thing as “Judeo-Christian”.https://twitter.com/TheRaDR/status/968858393191514112 …

Given how little a role Jewish theology plays in Christian theology, I think the complain is quite on point. I'm not sure Jews would even recognize Christianity as monotheistic, if they weren't being charitable.

Trinity Forgiveness of sin through a person Original sin Baptism Resurrection Judgement What am I missing? Which of those are Jewish? I'll grant you the Jewish idea of an afterlife is not TOO dissimilar, in some views, from the Christian one, so there's a point in your favor.

It’s not just forgiveness of sin through a person. The crucifixion is considered a literal sacrifice - a killing performed as an act of atonement. The mechanism for forgiveness makes no sense without the Jewish context.

Sacrifice has been around as a religious fixture probably as long as there have been religions. Not remotely unique to Jewish theology, and so not a particularly relevant basis for saying that "Judeo-Christian" is a thing.

you've responded multiple times with "not unique" your initial hypothesis was "Given how little a role Jewish theology plays in Christian theology" you can prove that 1,000 families have kitchen tables, but that does not disprove that THIS kitchen table was given to me by dad

This table was made by Bob. He gave it to Fred, who gave it to Joe, who gave it to Chris. We call it the Joe-Chris table.

"Given how little a role Jewish theology plays in Christian theology" Christianity in Europe was a REJECTION of paganism and a replacement w a 75% Jewish, 25% new material religion /shrug "I don't see it" coming from someone who's not studied it doesn't merit much more from me
