3/4 of the Christian Bible is the Tanakh, and our prophet was Jewish. But, sure, there's no such thing as “Judeo-Christian”.https://twitter.com/TheRaDR/status/968858393191514112 …

Given how little a role Jewish theology plays in Christian theology, I think the complain is quite on point. I'm not sure Jews would even recognize Christianity as monotheistic, if they weren't being charitable.

Trinity Forgiveness of sin through a person Original sin Baptism Resurrection Judgement What am I missing? Which of those are Jewish? I'll grant you the Jewish idea of an afterlife is not TOO dissimilar, in some views, from the Christian one, so there's a point in your favor.

I'll give you creation, and partial credit for afterlife. "Stewardship over nature" is pretty weak theology. The concepts of sin and atonement are pretty universal; I'm not convinced that they're especially similar in Judaism and Christianity, nor especially different in others.

Honestly, now that I've read more, the linkage between Jewish Messiah and Resurrection -> Jesus and the Resurrection is the strongest counterargument to my claim that there's little in common theologically speaking between the two religions.

But even at that... one has to question if it's really a "Judeo-Christian" thing if they both agree about a messiah and resurrection, but disagree over something so fundamental as "The Messiah is Jesus Christ". That's not a minor disagreement.

this is like "OK, I get that your anglo-American law has some rules about home ownership...but in England, they're 'flats', so it's kinda tenuous..."
