3/4 of the Christian Bible is the Tanakh, and our prophet was Jewish. But, sure, there's no such thing as “Judeo-Christian”.https://twitter.com/TheRaDR/status/968858393191514112 …

Given how little a role Jewish theology plays in Christian theology, I think the complain is quite on point. I'm not sure Jews would even recognize Christianity as monotheistic, if they weren't being charitable.

Trinity Forgiveness of sin through a person Original sin Baptism Resurrection Judgement What am I missing? Which of those are Jewish? I'll grant you the Jewish idea of an afterlife is not TOO dissimilar, in some views, from the Christian one, so there's a point in your favor.

Well, baptism is just a bastardized mikvah ritual. Resurrection is Jewish as well. And yes, I agree with you -- I don't consider Christianity monotheistic. Even putting my spin on the Trinity aside, it's hard for me (as a Jew) to see how Catholics' praying to Saints complies.

saints are not God or angels - they're just dead people. Doesn't remotely implicate mono vs poly

To us, it does. If you direct prayers to them, it certainly remotely implicates mono vs. poly. Some entity other than God can hear prayers and take action based on them. We direct prayers to God, period. Not angels, not saints, no other entity at all.

old testament acknowledges existence of multiple supernatural entities: God, angels, fallen angels so acknowledging that there are entities other than those alive today does not imply that one considers them all to be gods

Yes, per snow crash, Judaism is monolatrist, not monotheist. "Thou shalt not have any other god before me" != "There are no other gods". But we don't pray to any other entity.

we communicate with the dead; we do not worship them or glorify them. The use of the word "pray" both for communication with the dead AND to communication with God is admittedly unnecessarilly stupid / confusing
