@MorlockP My brain, it was doing that thing again. I envisioned using the storage container hangers, but mounted in a vertical frame to avoid the every popular what you want is in the bottom bin.

ah! I got it. Yes, if I stack two, I need to shuffle. but...my method means that I can stack 2, stack 1, put car tires up there, do whatever also, more generic = more interoperable with the rest of the french cleat system (could move to barn and put in the chicken coop, etc)

I was thinking beyond the cleat system. Free standing or wall stuck system for bins you might want to access more often.

in the barn I have such a thing: a wall of plywood shelves, spaced 24" apart (or whatever one bin height is), totally filled w bins I don't have too many bins in the garage - this about holds all of them.

just the storage OCD side of my brain at play. In my head I can see smaller bins devoted to single purposes, the specialty drill you use 3 times a year & all its stuff in 1 thing. I over focus on stuff sometimes...

Bins are a large size. Most things I want to store are smaller. Tool boxes and chests of drawers work better.

in second picture, look to far left - that's a set of lockers. Lots of good "just a bit smaller than a bin" sized storage.
