Analytical people (like us here) crisply understand the distinction. I suggest that most people aren't as analytical or as conscious of HOW they think, and thus allow positive emotional "bleed over" from one category to another. The fact that propaganda works depends on this.

If I were to generalize, I'd say it's more likely intersectionality concerns are the issue: Islam is more "oppressed" than Western women, so Western woman cannot criticize it.
