It's always weird that libertarians ding ancoms on supposedly being weaker on statism. They universally oppose prisons, cops, borders, war, etc, which are FAR more central to statism than some fucking food stamps. Ancoms have failings, but they're more consistent anti-statists.

As I said in another thread, they often just borrow the assumptions and frameworks of social democracy, think you can decentralize it and make it voluntary and it'll still exist. But their underlying instincts are usually consent-oriented which makes their frameworks naive.

It's not hypocrisy if they'll never actually do the things they say they'll do because once push comes to shove and they see the implications that they're too naive to grasp their conscience will get in the way.
