Instituted Soup Saturdays w family. Wife and I get turkey / pumpkin. 8yo gets tomato. 2yo and 6yo get "chicken noodle" (spaghetti in stock).

Chicken and turkey stock is basically free (made w leftover cascass + home grown onions). Pumpkin is free. Spag & canned tomatoes ~ free.
