ⓘ Dogs don't have thumbs added,
/ I ended up concluding that there'd be basically two kinds of stores: * coffeehouse / bookstore / hangout clubs * showrooms
/ Showrooms are basically like Tesla car stores: you can touch and feel, and then product will be delivered later.
/ This is the direction I think that retail will move in US. Very small stores - like bridal dress shops. But you can touch things.
/ We don't need that for infotainment products, obviously, but we do often like to touch the goods for ovens, sweaters, cars, etc.
/ And re the other branch: coffeeshops / clubs / etc. : there will always be demand for "third spaces" Right now bookstores & bars do this
/ ...but I see no reason that other models might not also work. I know of some locals who have a "private club" w membership dues.
/ Very much the model of the victorian London "gentleman's club". People love exclusivity!

/ True IRL, sure. But this is one place where my novel is a tangent: in ancap, there is no black market!https://twitter.com/KJTwitty/status/844571909442428929 …

/ You want cocain? You don't go to the muffler shop and ask to look at "performance packages" You just go to the cocaine shop & buy some!
