110 on on one leg of 220 , pumps for furnace are on other 110 leg of 220. So I take plug off

220v lathe (by candlelight), splice up a cable that puts SAME phase of 110 from generator

(bc it's a 110 generator) onto BOTH legs of 220. Backfeed into shop via outlet. Disconnect

house from utility line, plug Frankenstein cable in, and voila!

don't have true 220, so no water from well, but we have heat from outdoor wood furnace again
