Cast the woman's silver fallback ring - came out perfectly. Cast her gold - one gap. :( I think better sprueing will fix.

@BrowningMachine I bought 25 pennyweight = 1.38 oz that should be enough for 2 rings + then some. This says 8 gram http://www.bluenile.com/18k-yellow-gold-wedding-ring_18?gclid=CjwKEAjw_7y4BRDykp3Hjqyt_y0SJACome3TFveH&click_id=304512836 …3 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

So (round numbers) 9g (me) + 7g (her) = 16g I bought 25 pw = 37.5 g so cast hers first, remove sprue, cast mine.

@BrowningMachine if I find that mine doesn't have enough extra mass in sprue and button, I can go to pawnshop / coin store and buy a bit.2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes
.@BrowningMachine or the woman has 4/10 oz on hand = 11g
but that's 4/10oz of 24k. I have silver to dilute down to 18k, so actually =~ 13g
