3/ not bad, but it means that a berry patch w 6 rows, 3 trellises per row + 50' x 50' fence = ~40 poles = $800. BEFORE picket fence added.

6/ e.g. my firewood pallets. Lots of people use scraps from warehouses. They wobbly, are not same height, aren't flat decks, have gaps.

7/ I make my own: (4) PT 4x4 sleepers + 19 2x4s = ~$100 each. The twelve I made are - eek! - over $1k.

8/ They don't look like anything at all. In fact, you can't see them (when fully). But they stop wood from looking like crap.

@MorlockP ... i.e. if you find a newish one (especially from one of the good vendors?) it's good, but gets progressively trashed w/ use.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
@random_eddie they're good for what they're designed for. I want different. Hold weight, don't rock, don't crack, don't rot, no holes (trip)

@random_eddie 8'x8' means ~4 pallets. Uneven surface, tippy on gravel. Thin planks can /will splinter. Ghetto look.dangerous foot in.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
