On the truss versus hollow structural steel question I am ambivalent. As long as you replace whole corridors with the same type structure it bothers me none. The trend in steel and concrete is to spend more on manufacturing and fabrication off site so you save labor on site.

All of these look very expensive. Heck, even the "T" is probably giving transmission carriers some serious sticker shock. I think fun designs work well for cell phone towers where you mostly are doing a one-off. It's much more difficult to rationalize here. Still cool.

Looking at it strictly from the "we need to carry X lines Y distance" the right design looks like an improvement Double delta is more lines per arm, structure looks like possibly less material The EE in me is okay with this
