(by flip out, i mean i'm a conservative and don't agree with all this antiracist stuff so i'm the real racist and we don't end up talking about what they're doing living in an all-white community being hardcore antiracist ;-) life is short)

Conformists become very uncomfortable if they're prevented from conforming by being obviously different from others. They also tend to assume everyone else wants to conform as much as they do. This sits uneasily with diversity ideology, but that's the conformist ideology now.

So they're upset at you for not conforming to anti-racist ideology, to cover up being upset at you for being different.

i think there is a nonaggression pact among white ppl that they don't point out hypocrisy. and well, i'm brown, conservative, and sometimes will gently point it out, and that seems forbidden. and my views are way more conservative than them on race idk. way to lose friends

r parts of my life where white liberals do not know my politics. i usually keep my mouth shut since they want a PoC to talk at (there is a scarcity). but sometimes i can't help myself and it doesn't work out well. so silence is a good policy. they just want u to play the role
