I'm not very convinced by these objections. It's a personal server. I don't see it needing to handle that much data. Ames absolutely needs work, and optimization is always nice, but even at its current state, it could probably fully replace the Google account on my phone

My personal email archive of just my gmail is >2.5G in mbox, which is larger than what current vere can store. This isn't counting any indexes needed to make it searchable or usable. The final Google Takeout I did was 31G.

@pcmonk interested to hear what your take is. I know 2gb limit is a problem but not permanent. I had not heard the criticism of memory access being O(log n) before though. -

D’ya have any good introductions to what exactly Urbit is? Their site makes it sound like it’s part Usenet and part Docker, which just sounds vaporware-ish to me
