2/ first, I'm not a world-class prepper, and I don't study this stuff deeply I recommend
@jonst0kes and@jcenters for a lot of good prepping content. See also websites they're associated with: https://www.unprepared.life/ andhttps://theprepared.com/2 replies 1 retweet 16 likesShow this thread -

3/ LOL, I wasn't even going to, but, yes, sure, I strongly recommend my two books on homesteading, even if you don't homestead. There's tons of useful info on food storage, backup power, generators, fixing small engines, sharpening knives, etc. >>>https://twitter.com/giuseppe_aaron/status/1500146658809720837 …

4/ https://www.amazon.com/Escape-City-1-Travis-Corcoran/dp/B093BC3K1T … https://www.amazon.com/Escape-City-2-Travis-Corcoran/dp/B093B7T1M5/ … I really do recommend them in trade paperback, not ebook. I get the same $ either way, so this isn't selfishness. Just much easier to read on 8"x11" paper ... and works w no electricity !

5/ so, getting to food storage: if you have a decent paying job and money in the bank, but time is tight - head to http://costco.com or http://walmart.com or wherever and search for "one year food", click "buy" and get it delivered. DONE.

6/ ...thought you might want to check calorie counts. A lot of prepper food is like 1500 or 2,000 calories per day, and a grown man might burn 3,000 calories per day (or 4-5k/day if working outside, doing hard labor). Remember that you may have more than 1 person in your house

Thank you both for this thread and this article. Did a stockpile trip today with a list using this info and I already feel some peace of mind. I'll keep adding to the horde as I'm able but it's a good start. Cheers
