2/ absolutely I've got a few books on distilling (not gonna try it myself until it's legal - I don't need the BATF up my butt [ again ]), and one old timey recipe was dead simple. How high of moisture is this corn?!?! I can't imagine anything under 30% is going to self juice under any self weight that isn't truly preposterous.

You can fill a 10 foot tall wagon right full with 12 tonne of corn at high 20% moisture, and your kernels should be intact? Unless there's a huge part of this equation I'm missing?

No worries. Just have grown and harvested a lot of corn. Now, I have made zero moonshine, so maybe a really early picking at 40% could do it? I know they make silage with chopped up corn cobs and stalks, and then it ferments under its weight. Cows absolutely love it.

I'm trying to remember the details...a bit more is coming back to me. Maybe something involving "put a big pan in the bottom of the silo"? might be from one of these books https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1460957784 … https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0473126559/ … https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0968629210 … ?
