2/ low-end estimates for US invasion of Iraq is 150,000 over 10 years, or about 41 deaths per day. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_Iraq_War … That's about how many Russia is killing in Ukraine per day, right?

3/ obviously the mistake that Russia made was not getting The Cathedral / UN / NGOs / International Capital on its side. (China was smart - they got I.C. onboard and can thus enslave and murder Uyghurs with no repercusions)

if I had to guess I would say about the same. I have no way to verify this guess other than my completely uneducated opinion.

I'm going to guess higher, simply because the US didn't go out of its way to kill civilians. I mean, 41 per day is pretty low if you're actually making an effort to shell residential areas of cities, etc.

Russia is not doing that either (contrary to what US hawks have suggested)

John Podhoretz on the Commentary podcast yesterday contrasted Russia's "widespread slaughter of civilians during their push in" (paraphrase) with the "surgical, sterile" US advances into urban centers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Didn't bother to quantify either side of the assertion
