2/ and Grinch is dead on accurate calling Billions out for this; it's a prime offender. I loved s1, had questions about s2, and hated (and bailed on) s3. A heel turn every now and then, adequately set up, etc. works.

8/ Chekovs' gun is an important tool bc if the culmination of a story is someone opening up a drawer and pulling out a hidden gun, the payoff (such as it is) is weak and comes from nowhere. ...unless, of course, there was constant discussion the whole time about hidden weapons!
