I lived in downtown Chicago for almost 20 years, left fall 2020. People have definitely adjusted behavior. Whereas, we used to walk up Michigan Avenue well into the dark, friends have said that they don’t walk outside after 7.

It’s not something that is at the forefront of everybody’s mind. But everybody has adjusted. This is led to downtown becoming somewhat of a ghost town. There is no street life in downtown anymore.
