This is absolutely retarded. A 1/2 acre garden is not a "garden", it's a small farm, and a full time job. The Urban Farmer Curtis Stone runs production on this scale, and he has employees and facilities.https://twitter.com/ploughmansfolly/status/1486886372992552966 …

2/ I raise 3 hogs per year, maybe every other year. The idea that one can "merely" just raise 10 pigs is ... insane. Also ... pigs eat food. If you're keeping them on 1/2 an acre (or far far less if you're also gardening), they're not foraging >https://twitter.com/ploughmansfolly/status/1486888062353301509 …

3/ You are importing a MASSIVE amount of food. Pigs have a 3:1 conversion ratio; if you're harvesting them at 300 lbs, that means 3,000 lbs of pig, which means 30,000 lbs of feed ..except those are professional conversion rations. Amateur farmers do much worse. 50,000 lbs feed.

There’s zoning standards regarding this as well. Most areas have zones for residential/ag, and in the ag zones they usually have the specified requirements for land per animal. In my area it’s like 3 acres for the first horse and then I think and additional 1/2 acre for each add.
