2/ the expat (Aristillus ships) very intentionally had an anarchic scheme / no scheme The rescue ship that freed the captives from the US / PK prison camp was "Deladrier", after the female pilot in Heinlein's Startship Troopers who rescues Johnny Rico's team.

3/ there actually was one ship in the Aristillus novels named after a Rush album - the CNG (compressed natural gas) ship that had been retrofitted to compress air (my notes say 48,000,000 m^ air compressed to 60,000 m^3 to fit in tanks) & ship it to moonhttps://twitter.com/neontaster/status/1484294045971226626 …

4/ was named <drumroll plz> Grace Under Pressure. It is a very very small plot point, but it is made clear in the text of Causes of Separation that (a) the ship is in Lai Docks at Aristillus before the PK invasion (b) the PK invasion blows airlocks and wastes HUGE amts of air

5/ what happens off screen is that the cargo of the Grace Under Pressure is used to repressurize the tunnels of Aristillus after the catastrophic losses.

One of the worst planet naming in an SF property was in Joss Whedon's Firefly e.g. a major Core planet was Bernadette.

However speaking of ship names, in my personal Serenity RPG campaign, one ship was registered as the 'Samuel Hall' but which was known as the 'Damn Your Eyes' to Underworld denizens. There was also a pleasure cruiser called the 'High Wide and Handsome'.
