I have always despised the pinko press using the, "we're just asking questions" affectation. The only people that ever impressed were those in the center who think we should hear everything out even when it's clearly motivated reasoning. Not pleased to see the right doing it.

The general style of about half of everything the Gateway Pundit publishes these days. "Here's a scatterplot of unrelated events, fit your own curve to it because we're too chickenshit to ourselves." Used to be almost the sole province of leftist rags.

Thought about it a bit more and realized it's just another form of motte & bailey designed to make detractors look bad by not being direct. If you note where they're going with the grab bag of observations, they take umbrage and say, "hey, I'm just asking questions here".
