Weird piece tbh. His actual counterpoints to it actually happening seem to be (1) They didn't like each other because they were engaged in a war (2) The evidence is only largely anecdotal (which means it's not just anecdotal?) (3) It didn't happen everywhere

(1) I've read enough WW1 memoirs to seriously that everyone on the Western front had seething hatred for each other. (3) I've never seen it suggested or hinted at that the Christmas truce occured on the Eastern Front
