I've seen plenty of boomers play card games and board games. I've also seen plenty of boomer social gathering that revolved around watching sports on tv for hours. This person has a very idealized view of earlier generations.

My grandfather and his friends, who were all greatest gen, would play card games for hours whenever they got together. I got the impression that was a very common thing for guys their age.
