It's not like those particular highways serve a large shipping container-specific port, connecting it with Silicon Valley and the Bay Area suburbs East of the Berkeley Hills, something that would have become important after the invention of The Box, in the late 50s. Oh, wait

These "cars bad, look at how highways destroyed city blocks" don't seem the have a sense of what would happen to city streets and traffic if box frame trucks (as opposed to lighter panel trucks and vans) were regularly driven through them instead of on highways/major roads.
