The current zeitgeist makes personal tragedy into praiseworthy outcome. I have some friends who have struggled with infertility for over a decade. Since they are normal good people, this is heartbreaking for them. And then this shit comes along.https://twitter.com/NewYorker/status/1462746369165299715 …

"We just chose not to have kids, we have our furbabies." Motherfucker you are killing this kind and good man and woman who have wept themselves to sleep for years with the good and human desire to have a child in their union.

Abortion, in addition to the object level evil, does a similar number on miscarriages. I'll always carry the knowledge of the one we lost, and the heartbreak damn near took my wife from us years early. It's tragic, and here you come talking about babies as clumps of cells.

I really feel for the good young men and women, many of whom are my mutuals, faithfully waiting for marriage and feeling that heartache of loneliness. And yet here you come celebrating every alienation and cheering singleness. No, that shit sucks, stop it.

I feel for every woman grappling with the shame and loss of miscarriage. I feel for every chaste young man looking bleak and alone. And my heart breaks for every couple who just want a baby of their own. This journalism is killing them, and I hate it with every fiber of my being.
