2/ The gov defense contractor solution is 3,000x more expensive. That is not a typo.https://twitter.com/SotirisG5/status/1460299699676753920?t=53SHua9tyiz6UqyImHnHIQ&s=19 …

1/ This is my frustration with SpaceX hype. You could put out a super-overly-conservative estimate for launch cost and still kick crap out of SLS. But hyperbole always has to be dialed to 11 to make it even more incredible.

2/ The assumptions here are about as heavy lift as Starship. Crew Dragon was hyped as low cost by ignoring RD costs and positing 7 people per launch, which they haven’t, and may never do. This assumes a high flight rate of Starship. SpaceX has had some lowest launch…

3/ costs in history. But if you take out their own missions the flight rate isn’t all that great. I’d be curious what early Starship mission costs will be. They’ll have to pay down billions in Dev costs

"if you take out their own missions" why the hell would you do that? spaceX knows that frequent flights are the key to cost reduction, so they created profitable cargos to get their flight rate up ; lack of flying more frequently for paying customers isn't a spaceX problem >

...it's an indication that they've delivered so much capacity that the industry has been transformed / disrupted and SpaceX is totally saturating the demand with supply. New demand will come soon, I'm sure.
