If I had a bunch of free trees (as I do) and wanted to build an outbuilding from materials on hand, I'd get an "Alaskan chainsaw mill" for $250 or something and just make my own lumber.https://twitter.com/basementwatcher/status/1460606420760645635 …
Like most trad accounts, I'm suspect this Wrath Of Gnon guy lives a fairly typical modern life. I don't think there are very many of these guys who actually want to do most of the things they talk about.

I'm wondering what "frail or elderly" person would be able to stack two stories of cordwood and then fill it in? With a bad knee and in my late 50s, I think I'd qualify on one category and close on the other. Build that? Not a chance. Someone older? So much nope.
I was chainsawing some much thinner pieces the past few weeks. Wouldn't be doing that if I was "frail", and it left me feeling my age (mid 50s).
