Reminds me of something that I fiddled with last year, trying to get my thoughts together. The label placement is arguable, but the point I was trying to get at is that there's respectful disregard along the blue axis, but real animosity and resentment along the red.pic.twitter.com/I0EYwfHJax

What this thread illuminates is what I missed, that the y axis should be agency or clout, not mere income, and that there's a full spectrum of people along the right side who identify as a class despite huge differences on that metric.
