People complain all the time about hiring for soft skills and personality. But beyond a basic competence for the job people skills are absolutely crucial. I would hate to have the job process become even more impersonal and soul destroying.

Employers that wanted to hire immediately just based on credentials can do that now. The black chain doesn’t add anything here. If they don’t do it that way now, they probably have a reason for it.
