2/ the setting assumes that there is already a David Friedman "Machinery of Freedom"- style set of competing legal service providers, so if you dislike, say, drug laws, you'd live in a section of the city where they were legal and subscribe to a legal system that allowed them.

3/ if you're pro-choice, you'd .. if you're radical pro-free-speech, you'd... and there is no government as such (although some of the legal service providers seem like / serve as de facto nano governments). The context of the ask is that I want to have a few background >>>

4/ left-ish orgs that are neither good guys nor bad guys, but just foils for one authoritarian leftist org. Bc there's no gov to petition, I see these orgs as being engaged in organizing / mobilizing / "raising consciousness". I want to treat them seriously & sympathetically.

5/ Some ideas: - agitate against capital punishment (in some legal systems) - agitate in favor of better debt discharge / bankruptcy laws (in some legal systems) - agitate in favor of much higher min wages / lower Gini coefficient (in...) - laws against insider trading
