Van life also actually kind of sucks. For every morning I woke up in my van at the south rim of the grand canyon there were a dozen where I thought to myself "this is hell, I just want to be inside walls". I'm glad I did it, but never again.

To play for both sides, both can be true. There always have been and always will be these sorts (and I can relate as I feel an odd nomadic call myself too, or maybe that's just an affinity for Scythians) and ALSO things getting promoted can be an Op.

I've always known that settling down was not going to work for me. I may live in the same city for 5 years, but move every year. Never had a desire to own children. Then I'll move across the country for work or to shun relationships. The key is 'home is a where you were your hat.

"Well, no matter where I wander I know I'll always find a welcome At the end of every journey There'll be friendly people waitin'" Catchy song from '65, and as you'd say, still wasn't new then either.https://youtu.be/gjWV16_RvMc

The argument between homebodies and wanderers is second only to the discussion of whether it's better to plant crops or raise livestock in the "relitigate literally ancient conflicts" category of Twitter discourse.
