Here I come to pull things out of my ass. Modern homes could last 100+ years most people do not upkeep their homes well enough to accomplish this. Homes made from wood take upkeep. The only thing that wouldn't would be like stone?

In fact I might argue homes built with roof trusses and floor trusses would last longer than house built in the early 1900s that don't use trusses, just stick framing.
