What's liberating about having cheap and easy access to lever chain hoists, so I can get my tractor out of the mud, and picturing framing services, so I can decorate my home with Alfonse Mucha, and restaurants so I can dine with friends?

You could have all of this without creating massive, non-spaces like parking lots that bankrupt towns and cities. There is a sustainable middle ground that supports cars and humans.
