/ the tractor sunk in until the front and rear wheels were basically covered (the brush hog on the back served as sort of a "snow shoe", keeping the back up on the surface...a bit). I had to disconnect the brushhog & winch it out of the way then I started in on the tractor

/ here it is on stable [ -ish ] ground, about 15-20 feet back from where it started. Went to fire it up and see if I could drive out, and ... battery dead. Must have turned lights on with my knee. So...got the jumper pack >>>pic.twitter.com/ormpsnmu8g

/ ...and need to head out there and see what I can do. Man, moving that tractor back 15-20 feet horizontally and ~ 3' up vertically was some of the harder work I've ever done. Had to dig down UNDER front wheels to get the ramps in... digging baby diarrhea from under water

Prince-philosopher Coinaday 🤴 🧐 @coinaday1Replying to @MorlockPI've done similar with a sedan on forest roads before. One time it was over 24 hours from when I got stuck to when I was out. I dug a small drainage ditch and jacked it up wheel by wheel shoveling sand and gravel in until I had built a nice short stretch of road under the wheels.2 replies 0 retweets 18 likesShow this thread
/ it was something like 8 hours of work, digging and winching one of the best work outs I've had in my life now I just need to get out there, jump it, and see if I can drive out...

/ no last time I did it, tho, I sank in deep enough that the fuel filter housing sheared off ... so this time as soon as I started sinking I hopped off and dug a hole under the fuel filter !
