Libertarians who do not support #intellectualproperty often fundamentally misunderstand what and why #rightToContract is.

As an engineer: screw IP. It’s a protectionist racket that benefits rent-seekers and stifles innovation. It’s garbage created by lawyers for lawyers.

IP is the carrot to break up guild and trade secrets so that your discover is shared instead of cloystered away. The society benefits by new minds are exposed to the concepts and may build upon them. And in exchange for he discloser gets a time limited monopoly.

@PerBylund Have you used a cellphone? Without the protection of IP, there'd be almost no innovation in that field (i.e. profit motive). "Entrepreneurship" wouldn't have the needed money (risk/reward) to do the innovation to do something like 10nm chips.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
