Hmm. I try to avoid most Discourse about vaccines and stuff, but somehow clicked on this. This guy seems pretty sane. Anyone want to criticize this ?https://twitter.com/MissTrade/status/1438572586611331084 …

2/ well, I'm not looking for a peer-reviewed paper, or a full experiment, etc I'm a huge fan of the scientific method (NOT the "IFLS" method), but it's also true that there can be information valid enough to update priors that isn't fully paper-readyhttps://twitter.com/The_Suburbanist/status/1438592672428609545 …

No controls! Did he check his hypothesis against the number of "upticks" that were seen among small virus subsets in prior years? Or was there no reason to draw his attention to that?

Lots of "increase" but no mention of specific years. Over last year, last 10 years? How much of these "small" things were ppl putting off until it got so bad it needed to addressed? Or on the flip, didn't bother seeking care last year but this year are hyper alert?

A doc I met told me that the common cold/flu cases be so low were because 19 was pushing it out like weeds in a garden. If 19 compromises the immune system, this doesn't make sense to me.

Not really. Novel intervention rushed into implementation on massive scale having unintended consequences? Pretty safe bet.

Isn't he basically just talking about Antibody-dependent Enhancement (ADE), which we've known about for a while, and is tucked away on the WHO website as confirmed?

No. He's claiming the vaccines are killing off CD8+ T-cells. Not only is that not happening, the CD8+ cell populations rise as expected in response to Pfizer's vaccine, as expected. Moderna's isn't as good at stimulating production of these, but still sufficient.

How do you see that big of an uptick of cancers and extrapolate that to a vaccine that's been on market for less than one year?
