Half my neighbors grow their own food or raise livestock as a SIDE GIG. Many have been doing it all their lives, into their 70's. Is there anything major that has slipped thwir notice all this time? Has anyone else found a cheaper way? Who knows the soil and weather better?

A few solid neighbors is worth more than a library of books. Focus on ONE book (Escape from Cities by
@MorlockP is comprehensive), then get started on your homestead. The catch: your neighbors typ only help if they see you working hard and failing. JUST START BUILDING
