The yard of the house I'm moving in to (and plan to garden) has tons of mugwort. Apparently this means I have long, hard struggle ahead of me

Most conventional way to deal with this is to smother it - basically I'm going to need to cover the entire area with thick carboard and then cover that with mulch. Also have tons of honeysuckle trying to invade that I need to get rid of.

well, first off, let me explain that I had 4 or 5 patches, covering a total area of perhaps 3/4 of an acre the method I used was to use a special gun to inject concentrate Roundup into EVERY SINGLE CANE this kills 98% then next year, 2% grow back dick up the roots w pick

lol "dig", Freudian slip there, whew lads! anyway, in year 3, more roots send up sprouts ; dig those up w a pick... by year 4 or 5 you get maybe JUST 10 or 15 small guys per large patch ; battle is almost entirely won, just pluck the stems when you see them, and keep observing
