2/ future-cider-orchard is also looking amazing open area I'm standing in is bisected by a dirt road, which runs from 7 o'clock (lower left, behind scrub) to 1 o'clock (between trees, where sky dips down in a "V"). Everything to left was covered in knotweed, right in brambles.pic.twitter.com/0gPe1wDf4o
ⓘ Dogs don't have thumbs Retweeted dave, aspiring peasant
3/ improved road pasture by * grazing sheep * fertilizing * brushhogging * spraying 2,4-D / 3,6-D * injecting knotweed w roundup * digging up roots of knotweed w pick * cutting & burning brush grazing is good but not a silver bullethttps://twitter.com/aspiringpeasant/status/1426966869622198273 …
ⓘ Dogs don't have thumbs added,
4/ improved the future-cider-orchard by * crawling around on hands and knees and injecting 20,000 knotweed canes (not even sure I'm joking - like 1/2 an acre worth!) w Roundup * then digging up 20+ gallons roots w a pick every Saturday for two summers (that's 20 gal PER WEEK)
There’s a battle in my near future like this on a smaller scale. My property (and unfortunately my neighbors property) has multiple “trees of heaven” (Ailanthus altissima), which are insanely resilient and spread and grow unlike anything I’ve ever seen.pic.twitter.com/uOeEdxAiKc
