Virginia at least, maybe others allows you to skip law school and work as an apprentice. Still gotta sit for the bar, though.

Vermont allows 3 years as a apprentice/clerk to a lawyer/judge, with a course of study including "the subjects tested on the Uniform Bar Examination and related Vermont law" that works out to about 2 hrs./day. Following that, the apprentice can take the bar exam.
