the statute only extends qualified immunity (called "official immunity" in NH jurisdprudence) to state officials. town officials only have protection via common law my lawyer has not yet said "oh, yeah, this is likely / a good case / etc" but lawyer friends have said >>>

that, especially given some of the specific facts, and the detail that I have been meticulous in telling the town what the law is, that the case is stronger than the majority of such claims, and could probably survive motion to dismiss (not same as winning, of course)
