5/ This email chain that just turned up is magic, tho. It's like a Leatherman pocket tool - it packs so many useful features into such a small space. First, we've just blown up the building department assistant's lie that there's no cell phone. but >>>

6/ What did we see so far? * Building department contacts ONE member of the public with an urgent matter. Why did the building department contact barnneighbor, but not me?
* Building dept says "call me" ... to keep it out of email [ which is discoverable ]3 replies 3 retweets 38 likesShow this thread -
7/ So...what was said in that phone call? Sadly we'll likely never know. I mean, probably not. The only way we'd ever find out is ... if barnneighbor RESPONDED TO THE EMAIL THREAD AND TYPED OUT THE SECRET INFORMATION THAT HAD JUST BEEN CONVEYED IN PRIVATE!!!pic.twitter.com/KYC230dI2P

9/ it doesn't leap off the page like "yes, !@# Travis, we are going to break the law ha ha ha!" ...but it's still pretty damned clear. 1) town gov initiates a law change, for the benefit of one party 2) town proactively reaches out to that party, arranges off-record phone callpic.twitter.com/WL76JskLuz

10/ 4) barnneighbor then emails town "a̵s̵ ̵p̵e̵r̵ ̵o̵u̵r̵ ̵i̵l̵l̵e̵g̵a̵l̵ ̵c̵o̵l̵l̵u̵s̵i̵o̵n̵ ̵o̵v̵e̵r̵ ̵t̵h̵e̵ ̵p̵h̵o̵n̵e̵ I would like a delay in my variance hearing please" 5) town: "you didn't phrase that quite correctly, what you mean is a "DELAY UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE"

11/ Anyway...tonight is the fourth (fifth?) stab at a town variance meeting. One of five things will happen: 1) approval -> I sue 2) delay -> I sue 3) rejection of application without prejudice, to be refiled -> I sue 4) unknown unknown -> I sue 5) variance rejected [ lol ]

maybe ...but I've asked a lot of smart people, and no one can think of any other unknown unknowns... doesn't mean it's impossible, but
