some of the branding is to countersignal all the brown scare stuff due to notorious cgy some of it is heartfelt as well, think we're all looking forward to landscape as just an urbit app but it's good for the project to have one integrated 'experience' to offer

I haven't given up I have ragequit a couple times some recent conversations have been encouraging, we'll see if I get buy in on it I can't fix hoon but I'm pretty confident I have a design to make the VM run a lot faster

hoon doesn't need fixing anyway, it needs a sane language with the same semantics and human-usable names for the standard library and the whole thing needs to be like 50x faster, that's the important part

hm, it's documented pretty well now, and small enough to grep for the parts that aren't (i.e the parsing combinators). vere is still super hard to grok but the haskell runtime helps immensely. i'm no genius and managed to write a working vane. hoon is fun (1/3)

but there are working apis in a bunch of different languages now. you basically get a networked emacs with the emacs-lisp api. there's a twitter clone written in elixir. xmonad integration with the haskell api. (2/3)
