This entire list is retarded, and you are wrong and should feel bad for say dumb things. To pick just one example: > $1500 brakes every 2 years I just did replaced the brakes on my 11 year old car (first brake replacement on it ever) for $74. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AN5USMW/ …https://twitter.com/markp1950/status/1413167067839225857 …

8/ My brake job was a bit more of a hassle than that, but not much more of a hassle. 11 years on salty New England roads meant that I needed a sledgehammer and a torch. But, still,,,https://twitter.com/vermindust/status/1413489353850974215 …

9/ Also, the context of the OP was that he was arguing in favor of electric cars, and stanning windmills, so he's obviously (a) not too bright, (b) bad at math.

Akshully - My car lights itself up with dealer codes when it thinks it needs service. 100% of the time I google the dealership, print off a 10-20% coupon, and just pay for whatever the car says it needs at dealer. Annual maint cost avg = < $350 per year.

Cheap AF to never have to care about the car, if that's how you prefer to value & spend your time. (moral of the story = dealer service centers are pretty cheap now (compared to jiffy lube, trad mechanics, etc.))
