Actually, yes. I would love for the ability to be able to buy parts to repair anything that I own. I am perfectly fine if the vendor then refuses to warranry the device if I make my own repairs or otherwise limit my rights to sue or things like that.

There's a business model where the manufacturer sells two versions of the same product, one cheaper and basic, one more expensive and with more features sometimes following right-to-repair rules would mean that the basic version could be easily turned into the advanced version

I really should have gone in on the kickstarter. I generally have a rule about never going in on those because I've been disappointed so much. Yours would have been the first where I wasn't.
