not sure about that, but he IS super stylish ; worked for decades in the fashion industry as a "buyer" for the tween girls dept of some fancy dept store chain (Macys?)
I've met one or two people who worked similar jobs, and I was always struck by the combination of total clothes horse, and absolutely deadly & efficient attitude, that I never ran into anywhere else.
one sad thing about that career path is that it's up or out - the bottom of the market is flooded with young hip new fashion savvy sharks, and the pyramid narrows - A LOT - at the top. 1 guy ends up CEO or whatever, and other 99% end up looking for new jobs at age 29 / 33 / 55
I have zero doubt. I was just thinking, and I bet people in other professions that can take both the adjective "creative" and "high powered" give off the same vibe. Hollywood (not so much actor, necessarily) types, I bet.
I was talking w some lawyer friends about how that career is bimodal - 5% making 10x the money of the other 95% problem is, there are few pockets paying that money, and if you fall out of it, it's hard to stay / get back in I far prefer software, where 0.01% make millions >
but for 99+% of us, it's just one big bellcurve, and it's more workman like, and the market is very very liquid with tens of thousands of employers
